Ousted YWCA director files lawsuit

The ousted executive director of YWCA Greensboro has sued the organization for wrongful discharge and other claims, and made charges of her own, the News-Record in Greensboro reported June 12 (see Greensboro YWCA story).

The lawsuit by Adrienne Witherspoon also alleges defamation, civil conspiracy and infliction of emotional distress, and charges the defendants with misusing state grant money.

The suit seeks over $10,000 in damages and names as defendants the YWCA; its board of directors; its president. Judi Rossabi; its past president, Lottayne Widemon, and its former executive director, Carolyn Flowers.

YWCA's interim executive director, Jean Pudlo, said she could not talk about the lawsuit.
