Changemakers seeks innovative ideas

One need only visit any online message board or chat room to see that just about everyone has an opinion to share. Arlington, Va.-based Ashoka's Changemakers.net is tapping into this resource by providing an online competition in which contestants offer potential solutions to pressing social problems, including domestic abuse, health care and disaster response.

This article by Leslie Berger, published in the Stanford Social Innovation Review, describes this online phenomenon, which has given people a voice in social change and provided nonprofits with a wealth of new ideas.
