POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: Executive Director for myFutureNC
LOCATED IN: Research Triangle Park, North Carolina
myFutureNC is a newly created 501(c)3, non-profit organization committed to aligning and coordinating efforts across North Carolina to dramatically increase postsecondary credential attainment. This work is guided by myFutureNC ’s visionary goal for North Carolina: 2 million North Carolinians with a high-quality postsecondary degree or credential by 2030. To accomplish this goal, myFutureNC will catalyze and guide state and local-level action that is data-driven, increase the public’s understanding and ownership of the attainment goal and the evidence-based strategies it will take to achieve it, and continually monitor and evaluate North Carolina’s progress towards the goal.
myFutureNC began as a state-wide Commission comprised of North Carolina’s thought leaders in education, business, philanthropy, faith-based and non-profit communities, and ex officio representatives from the North Carolina House of Representatives, Senate, and Governor’s Office. Between November 2017 and February 2019, they conducted research and collected input from experts across the state to develop a vision—from preschool through postsecondary and the workforce—for a stronger and more competitive North Carolina.
